Was very sorry to hear about Geoffrey's passing. The amount of historical information that he held in his head about Carmarthen and its inhabitants was staggering. He seemed to know most everyone, and what is more most everyone seemed to know him and/or was touched in some way by what he had done. He had not been very mobile for a while but it was always a pleasure to see him up and about in town, and helping those who could not get about as easily as he could; he always had time for you, and I know that he helped me personally. Geoffrey's humour, dry wit, conviviality, and generosity will be sadly missed.
